How to Make the Most of a 3-Hour Date: Short & Sweet Adventures Await!
Some might find a three-hour time frame to be an unusual choice for a date—it's not quite long enough for a relaxing dinner, but trust me, it’s the perfect amount of time for a short and sweet extended meet!
If you're wondering how to make the most of this time, I've put together a list of activities that will perfectly fill the hours without feeling rushed. Whether you're looking for adventure or something more laid-back, I’ve got options for every vibe.
So, grab your calendar and let's start planning your next three-hour date!
Venturing Outside: Mini Adventures for the Active Soul
Not everyone is in the mood to stay indoors the whole time. If you’re in a city like San Diego—or a place with similar options—there are plenty of exciting outdoor activities to try. Here are some ideas to get your heart racing:
The Hour Room - Escape Room Games I can meet you downtown to put our skills to the test at the largest puzzle room in San Diego. The best part, we only have 60 minutes to complete it! Once we've masterfully escaped the "abandoned basement" we can go back to my place for a party of two celebration!
Oculto – Bar (oculto477.com) tucked away in one of my favorite neighborhoods in San Diego is the Oculto. This is a speakeasy where to enter we must confess one of our deadly sins. What will you be sharing? Mine begins with L...*wink wink*
When you stay downtown there are many places for us to try out, just ask and I can recommend something that feels just a little mischievous in exploring a surreptitious saloon!
Coin Op – Gaslamp – Vintage arcade games, craft beers and shared plates (coinopgaslamp.com) Let's step back in time to an '80's style arcade that focuses on the classics like Ms. Pac-man and Galaga! Grab a drink or bite to eat, some coins and see who beats the high score! Then go congratulate the winner back at your room.
Staying In
For our three-hours you might want to keep it indoors. Which is totally okay with me! I have plans for us to maximize the fun of our time together.
I enjoy playing chess and have been known to play a few games to prevent myself from becoming too rusty! So what do you say, shall I bring out my new chess set for us to test!?
Being an avid connoisseur of Tequila and wine, I'd never be opposed to having our own little taste testing. Perhaps try to make some cocktails and whoever makes the best one wins a kiss! *wink wink* ~ Bonus activity! I have paint, brushes and a bunch of canvas! Let's turn the time into our own personal Vino & Paint experiment!!
More of a foodie? Don't worry--I am too! We can make a charcuterie board then dive deep into wonderous conversation comparing how the different meat cuts pair with a particular cheese.
For a different way to relax there's a great hot tub at the space I host in. We can take a short walk down to the jacuzzi. and that will just be the beginning of a steamy time together! *Alternatively, many hotels and resorts have lovely jacuzzi for us to dip into, or a quick pool dip in those sizzling summer months*
These are just a few ideas from the top of my head and we can always explore more! Hopefully this will give you some ideas on how we can enjoy a short and sweet three-hour date together. Just let me know when you're ready!
